Fun or Torture?

List five things you do for fun.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that one person’s definition of fun may be another person’s definition of torture. I’ve certainly learned activities I think are fun are not everyone’s cup of tea. Without going into detailed stories of how I’ve accidentally tortured people by having them join me – here are things I do for fun:

  1. CrossFit
  2. Running
  3. Dancing in my kitchen (especially to punk, metal, EDM, Irish, or show-tunes).
  4. Reading/Audiobooks/Podcasts
  5. Attending live music events (again-especially punk, metal, or EDM).
  6. Can’t help but add a bonus #6- church and church events. Or just gatherings with church friends.

So… fun or torture? – you tell me.

  1. I feel so old now. I move my weights with slow and controlled movements to avoid injury; I don’t heal as fast as I used to. I did manage to reach the point where my bench + squat + dead lift = 1000 pounds, of which I’m rather proud. I’m also more of a R&B/jazz guy.
